With beauty and determination, the actress Margot Robbie has seduced the best of them—Scorsese, DiCaprio, and, in this special project for W, even the artist Bill Viola.
“I’ve been practicing in my bathtub,” Margot Robbie said as she arrived at the Long Beach, California, studio of the artist Bill Viola. Viola, who was the subject of a major retrospective this past summer at the Grand Palais in Paris, is known for his thematically epic videos—he is concerned with nothing less than life and death—and, heightening the biblical overtones, he often uses water and fire in his work. On a cool, early-fall day, Robbie, an actress on the brink of major stardom, would serve as his muse: She would slowly be submerged in water. “I am so excited,” Robbie continued. “I’ve been holding my breath to see how long I can go without turning blue.”

SEARING spring sun has done little to cool the fashion and fun of the final day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The star of the day among the rich, famous and their hangers on was Wolf of Wall Street star Margot Robbie in the Swisse marquee.
“It’s so good to be back in Melbourne, I miss my family and friends all the time so it’s good to see them,” said The Wolf of Wall Street star, wearing Ellery.
Robbie praised Melbourne as the place where it all began for her, as she caught up with some of her former Neighbours co-stars in the Swisse marquee.
“I learnt so much while I was living in Melbourne and working on Neighbours,” she said.
“It’s always special and at the forefront of my mind. Neighbours is an education that you can’t get anywhere else. It prepares you for work overseas and in Hollywood.”
Meanwhile, Robbie’s boyfriend Tom Ackerley, slipped into the marquee unnoticed about an hour after the actor arrived.
Ackerley, an assistant film director based in London, will meet Robbie’s family while in Melbourne.
“It’s good,” Robbie replied when asked about her relationship with Ackerley.
“He hasn’t been to Melbourne before. We only have limited time here.”
The couple were snapped last week in London looking loved-up.
Robbie will be next seen in Hollywood blockbuster Tarzan and Jane, alongside True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard.
“I wanted Jane to be very independent,” Robbie said.
“She’s obviously co-dependent because it’s a massive love story between her and Tarzan, but I wanted her to be very capable when she was on her own — and also fierce and intelligent.”
MARGOT Robbie has knocked it out of the park at the Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year awards in London, November 4th.
The Aussie actress picked up the Breakthrough Award on the night in a daring canary yellow ensemble featuring a deep plunging neckline.
The 24-year-old showed off her long blonde locks which featured long hair extensions after an earlier dalliance as a brunette.
The Wolf Of Wall Street actress almost managed to outshine Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who stepped out in a sheer black jumpsuit.
The pair joined a host of other big names including Carey Mulligan, Victoria Beckham, Suki Waterhouse, Diane Von Furstenberg and Ellie Goulding to celebrate women’s achievements across art, fashion, film and music.

Australian actress Margot Robbie showed her true colours at the weekend as she donned the famous black and white of Fulham.
The Wolf of Wall Street actress was at Craven Cottage last Saturday to support Felix Magath’s side in the London derby against Millwall – but she did not bring the side any luck as the Cottagers lost 1-0.
The 24-year-old stunner was recently named The Sexiest Actress in Hollywood by Victoria’s Secret and shot to fame earlier this year thanks to her seductive role as Leonardo DiCaprio’s love interest in Hollywood blockbuster The Wolf of Wall Street
The former Neighbours actress confirmed on Twitter recently that she was a Fulham fan – but it is unclear why she chose to support the South West London club.
Fulham have signed a number of Australian players in the past, including goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and added international striker Adam Taggart to their squad this summer.
Robbie joins actors Hugh Grant and Keith Allen as well as singer Example on the list of Fulham’s high profile celebrity fans.
Robbie is not just a Fulham fan as she has also been spotted at Madison Square Gardens supporting the New York Rangers ice hockey side.
Speaking of her support for the Rangers, she told Yahoo: ‘Well I always wanted to play ice hockey back in Australia, I’m not sure why, but we didn’t have any ice where I lived. It was very hot, a coastal town.
‘So I played field hockey, but then when I moved to America I was finally able to join a team once I wasn’t contracted to a show, but when I was contracted to a show I wasn’t able to play. But I was living in New York, so I was able to watch, and the Rangers were my default team.
‘And not just by default, but also because they’re the best team ever. And I just became absolutely dedicated and loyal to them immediately, and have been ever since.’
Margot Robbie is undeniably beautiful—but she’s so much more than that.
“In my big group of girlfriends at home, I am definitely not the best-looking,” the 24-year-old Australian actress says in the August 2014 issue of Vanity Fair. “I did not grow up feeling like I was particularly attractive. You should have seen me at 14, with braces and glasses, gangly and doing ballet! If I looked good in Wolf of Wall Street I cannot take full credit; it was because of hair extensions and makeup.”
Martin Scorsese’s casting director, Ellen Lewis, brought Robbie to the director’s attention for The Wolf of Wall Street. She sums up the actress’ appeal such: “As beautiful as she is, that’s how talented she is.”
Robbie comes from a farming family, and she didn’t break into acting until her late teens. Luckily, she has a natural presence onscreen, according to those who’ve worked with her. Given that her home country has produced stars like Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe, could she be the next big thing?

McDonald’s is not usually on the menu for in-demand Hollywood actresses.
But Margot Robbie proved that she is in a league of her own as she was spotted wandering out of the fast food eatery in London chowing down on a cheeseburger and ice cream on Monday.
The down-to-earth Australian star, who turned 24 last week, was a natural beauty with zero makeup as she picked up the snack with a male friend.
Margot was casual but elegant on her food dash, with her full length animal print garment featuring a sizeable slit up the middle.
She covered it up with a snug grey sweater and teamed the entire ensemble with cute slip-on shoes featuring bones printed on the front, adding yet another primal aspect to the equation.
She wore her blonde tresses pulled back into a messy bun and forewent any need for makeup, thus proving her natural beauty.
The Wolf Of Wall Street actress carried all her essentials in a brown leather handbag for the outing and clutched her take away food in a large paper bag from the restaurant.
She was not alone for the delicious adventure, however, as a male pal joined her.
The duo were spotted knocking back burgers inside McDonald’s before exiting the place, immersed in conversation.
Margot treated herself to a little desert in the form of ice cream in a cup, clutching this as she exited the place.
It was a well deserved break, as the star has been in the midst of filming her latest flick, Tarzan, directed by David Yates.
She stars as Jane Porter opposite Alexander Skarsgard’s Tarzan, with other cast members including Samuel L. Jackson and Christopher Waltz.
Margot recently gushed to Digital Spy about how much her co-star’s muscles impress her.
‘He’s really big,’ Margot said of Alexander. ‘I look like a hobbit next to him.’
‘We were doing camera tests the other day and my fingertips were literally at his kneecaps. I think every girl on set is swooning.’
She famously appeared in a full-frontal nude scene opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the Wolf Of Wall Street but Margot Robbie was the epitome of sophisticated glamour at a London charity fashion ball.
Wafting into Natural History Museum in a floor-length blue and white gown, the 23-year-old Australian actress turned heads as she paraded a stunning A-line gown on Sunday.
Twisting and twirling as flashbulbs popped, the flame-haired star was the centre of attention in the two-tiered ensemble.
She joined a litany of stars including Samuel L Jackson who hosted the charity ball with catwalk show featuring comedian David Walliams and Tom Hiddleston as models.
Margot stood out at the fashion ball, with proceeds benefitting One For The Boys male cancer foundation, as she enjoyed some well-earned down-time in London.
Days earlier, she was spotted out and about in the capital strolling with a handsome mystery man and kissing in the street oblivious to the lunchtime crowds.
She hasn’t been living in London very long, but Australian actress Margot Robbie is clearly at home in the capital.
The 23 year-old star was spotted out in the city centre on Friday where she showed off her burgeoning group of friends – and impressive dance moves.
She couldn’t resist partying in the street as they enjoyed the mild weather.
The brunette beauty looked stylish in a grey coat and knee-high, black, suede boots. She wore her hair in a casual side-parting and make-up was kept to a minimum.
She accessorised with a white blouse and a pair of skinny jeans.
Together, she cut a stylish figure showing a natural affinity with European fashion trends.
The Gold Coast-born starlet recently moved to London after finishing filming sci-fi flick Z For Zachariah in New Zealand.
So far she certainly seems to be enjoying it as on Saturday, Margot shared some of her fun with Instagram followers with a picture of her in a green field with the caption: ‘No filter. London is just that pretty today.’
Margot also revealed to AOL recently that she’ll be going back to blonde for her upcoming role as Jane Porter in Tarzan.
